Team INRstar successfully complete Dartmoor Challenge in aid of ShelterBox!
An intrepid team from Camborne-based INRstar completed the notoriously difficult ShelterBox Dartmoor Challenge over the weekend. The annual fundraising event, which took place on 13th and 14th September in Dartmoor National Park, sees teams taking part in an arduous trek while carrying an iconic ShelterBox, which is designed to raise awareness of the organisation’s work responding to disasters around the world. ShelterBox UK specialises in providing emergency relief to people made homeless by disasters and is based in Helston, Cornwall.
Team INRstar, made up of James Essen, Emily Whetter, Sally Macdonald and Hannah Smith raised an impressive £900 for the charity as they competed for points over a 40 mile variable course where navigation, tactical decision making and teamwork counted as much as speed and endurance. Sullivan Cuff Software provides INRstar, anticoagulation clinical decision support software and is based in Tolvaddon Energy Park in Camborne.
The team would like to pass on a huge ‘thank you’ to all who supported with donations. Donations are still be accepted via the INRstar Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/Team-INRstar/
