Digital marketing is an essential part of any successful business and Software Cornwall is providing a work experience week to school students on 10th – 14th July 2023. It will be a great way for students to gain real-world experience and develop their skills.
The students will work with the Environmental & Long range low power wide area network [LoRaWAN] work experience team together for the week. This is a great opportunity for students to gain work experience in the tech sector and develop their digital marketing skills. During the week, the students will have the chance to listen to talks from industry experts on topics such as:
- Agile methods in the workplace
- Using AI in business
- The importance of social media in marketing
- Understanding the LoRaWAN network so students can market it.
The students will interview the Environmental LoRaWAN team and observe what they are working on over the week. This will give them great insight into how a tech team works and how digital marketing fits into the overall strategy. Upon learning from industry experts, they will then create a digital marketing campaign to promote the Environmental LoRaWAN work for Software Cornwall.
Students will spend their mornings listening to talks from industry experts and in the afternoons they will be working in teams on laptops and tablets to create and implement a digital marketing campaign. They will learn to use programmes such as Canva, Hootsuite, Mail Chimp and Hubspot and create a Tik Tok online presence. Providing students with real-life experience in marketing in the tech sector alongside other colleagues. The teams will come together at the end of the week to present their work and findings.
Throughout the week, students will get hands-on experience working with colleagues to create a digital marketing campaign. This is an invaluable opportunity for students looking to gain real-world experience and develop their skills for future job opportunities or further education.
For those students that are unable to obtain the release from school, we will be able to offer the morning talks via an online link to provide industry insight.
